Looking across a bay in Loch Linnhe to the mouth of Loch Leven and the Ballachulish Bridge from Onich. The mountains in Appin are known as the Beinn a Bheithir Horseshoe.

Corran Ferry on Loch Linnhe at its narrowest point. Beyond here it widens to 4 miles. Opposite Oban it reaches 10 miles across with the Island of Lismore at its centre.

At this point Loch Linnhe narrows to a quarter of a mile from a maximum of ten miles towards Oban. Visitors can cross to the remote areas of Ardgour, Kingairloch, Sunart, Moidart and Ardnamurchan from Lochaber, Inverness-shire, Scotland.
