Hindmarsh Island. The island cemetery.

Goolwa. Hindmarsh Island monument to Captain Charles Sturt and Captain Collett Barker. Both explorers of the River Murray and the southern lakes system of South Australia in 1830 and 1831.

Goolwa. The current library and Alexandrina Council offices. The rear part was the Institute built in 1878. The front part was built in 1907 as a Council Office. It was added to later to create two identical facades.

Goolwa. The first horse tram railway in Australia opened here in 1853. That was at a different spot. This is the current railway station used only by Steamranger tourist trains to Victor Harbor and Mt Barker.

Hindmarsh Island. Along Randell Road is this monument erected on the centennary of Charle Sturts epic trip down the Murray River to the mouth. Erected 1930. A memorial to Collet Barker too.

Hindmarsh Island. The old state school now a sometimes cafe. Opened 1880 and closed 1954.
